Made Like a Tree is...well...made like a tree!

The roots of the project are a love for progressive and sophisticated music from around the world and an appreciation of the world itself. The trunk of the project is a commitment to using music to welcome diverse people together. The branches are the collaborations and contributions in various media from people who are inspired by the project and want to express their own take on the philosophy behind it. Finally, the canopy formed by all of this is not a backdrop for conspicuous consumption, but rather a lush, vibrant environment for people to celebrate, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

Made Like Tree (M>L>A>T) is a Seattle-based electronic music collective founded by DJs Struggle and D'jeronimo. Both S and J have been active in the Seattle electronic music community for many years, and this project is a culmination of a lot of commitment to and love for music and its power to assemble people in a creative and constructive space. The music chosen for this project is sometimes fun, sometimes brooding, sometimes sexy, but always forward-thinking. Made Like a Tree is for people who want to use the dance floor for dancing more than foreplay, for people who want to invite conversation instead of oblivion, for people who want a unique experience instead of a replay of the Top 40 playlist. M>L>A>T should be for everyone, and so we welcome everyone.
